Recycled Art

Remember that giant heart my students made out of cardboard tubes? Well it was taken to the annual recycled art exhibit I participate in and was proudly displayed amongst some really wonderful recycled art projects from local schools in the area. Monster Type

Not that kind of monster type. This monster type is a paper sculpture created as a letter V. It is the work of my student Donovan Nguyen who created it for a type assignment in another class Winter quarter. The task was to make a letter as a face of a monster and to use any media or material. His monster type is a letter V and is about 3 feet tall. It was the first sort of paper sculpture Donovan has ever produced. I really hope he continues to create an entire monster type family now!
