I believe it’s important to listen to the messages our behaviour is sending to our brains. When we resist doing those things that would help improve our situation, we’re subtly telling ourselves that we don’t believe we are worth the effort. (this is not the same as not being able to take action) When we know better but don’t act on it, it’s an implied message that: “I can’t trust myself to do what is in my best interests.” Or “I can’t depend on myself to sustain the change that may result.”
