NORMAN HARTNELL's first Royal commission was for Lady Alice Montagu-Douglas-Scott. On 6 November 6, 1935 she married Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester; 3rd son of King George V and Queen Mary. He also designed dress for he princesses (Queen) Elizabeth and Magaret who were bridesmaids.
