Lacul Roșu is a barrier lake in the Eastern Carpathians chain in Harghita County, Romania. The name of "Lacul Roșu" comes from the reddish alluvia deposited in the lake by the Red Creek.
Merry Cemetery
The Merry Cemetery is a cemetery in the village of Săpânța, Maramureş county, Romania. It is famous for its colourful tombstones with naïve paintings describing, in an original and poetic manner, the persons that are buried there as well as scenes from their lives. The Merry Cemetery became an open-air museum and a national tourist attraction.

The Transalpina located in the Parâng Mountains group, in the Southern Carpathians of Romania, is one of the highest roads of the Carpathian Mountains. . The road has its highest point at the Urdele Pass, where the elevation is 2,145m above sea level.
