Make your own book brush in Procreate ✍🏽
Let’s create a book brush in Procreate! 📖 Here are the steps: • Create a square canvas with a black background (mine is 3,000 x 3,000px). • Bring up a picture of a book spine (you can use your own photo or a stock image). • Use the Selection tool to get rid of the background. • Make your book black and white by turning down the Saturation under Adjustments. • Clean up the edges and centre the book in the middle of your canvas using the Snapping option. • Swipe down with 3 fingers and click Copy All. • Click the + button in your brushes to create a new brush. • Under the Shape section > Shape source, paste your selection. • Under Properties, increase the Maximum Size (mine is 226%). • Under Stroke Path, increase the Spacing until you can see each individual book (mine is 30%), y

Make your own texture brush in Procreate ✍🏽
Making your own texture brush is super easy and it can save you so much time when using Procreate! Here are a the steps: • Create a square canvas. • Bring up your texture. • Make it black and white. • Duplicate your image and slide it halfway to the left (with the Snapping activated). • Erase the sharp edge. • Merge your 2 layers together. • Repeat this step but slide your image to the top. • With 3 fingers, swipe down and click Copy All. • Click the + button to create your new brush. • Paste your texture under the Grain section. • Set the Grain behaviour to Texturised. • Adjust the Scale to your preference. • Change the Shape Source to a soft round shape (imported from the Source Library). • Adjust the size of your brush. • Rename your brush and you’re done!
