Erna de Vries,"Beneath The Surface", encaustic, copper and photo transfer, 12"x16" /sm. With a background in fiber arts, courses in photography, painting, printmaking, sculpture and design, her focus turned to encaustic in the early 2000s. With a recent interest in depicting the industrialized landscape Erna utilizes wax, concrete, reclaimed metal, collage and photo transfers.
