November 1-30, 2017. Samuel E. Bleecker was trained as a physicist and molecular biophysicist at Yale University. After graduation, he worked at Bell Labs. His abstract paintings, motivated by mathematics, physics and biological themes, have been exhibited at galleries around New Jersey.

Chasing Coral
Watch how divers, scientists and photographers around the world have documented the disappearance of coral reefs which are vanishing at an unprecedented rate. “Chasing Coral,” directed by Jeff Orlowski, took more than three years to shoot. It’s the result of 500+ hours of underwater filming, submissions of footage from volunteers from 30 countries, as well as support from more than 500 people from various locations around the world.

Chair Yoga (Virtual) – Bernardsville Public Library
Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair or standing using a chair for support. The postures are adaptations of traditional yoga poses which offer increased strength, flexibility, body and breath awareness and overall vitality. This chair yoga class, taught by Julie Shaw, is open to everyone, and no prior yoga experience is needed. This is a six-week session on Mondays, November 13 – December 18.

Monthly Meditations: Follow through on your intention to learn and practice meditation. We will explore different types of meditation with a time of sharing to follow for those who are so inclined. First timers and those with any meditation experience are welcome. This meditation program is led by Mary Bodenstein and Jean Leigh.

Bernardsville residents Bill and Monica Oliver and Lebanon resident Elizabeth Guest will lead a discussion on the importance of the Russian Revolution of 1917. They will comment on some of the considerable literature available, as well as offer personal insights from their two-week trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg in September.
