This summer at the American Repertory Theater a group of creative teenagers will come together in June to deconstruct, remix, revise and rework moments from the Civil War into a unique devised theater piece.  Youth in Baltimore, Atlanta and D.C. will be doing the same thing, at the same time.  A stipend will be provided. Applications close May 10th!

High school students are making a difference this summer! Students in the Social Justice Instititue at Rosie's Place are earning community service hours and learning more about social justice issues while providing much-needed volunteer services to the poor and homeless women at Rosie’s Place this summer.

Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that helps poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives.

The Young Civic Leaders, a MassVote program, gives youth the tools that they need to become leaders in their communities. Through active participation in trainings, workshops, and project-based learning, Young Civic Leaders are molded into agents of change in their communities; they organize and mobilize their peers to be more civically engaged in their neighborhoods. YCL is an 11-month paid internship for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

AFH’s Youth Arts Enterprise employs city teens to work in a variety of art media learning new skills, making art and performing creative design services for business clients of AFH. Participants also earn a starting wage of 8.00 per hour for up to 9 hours per week during the school year, and up to 25 hours per week during the summer.
