On World Soil Day, 5th December 2013, Save Our Soils celebrates its first anniversary with a special video release. The campaign was launched in Europe in 2012 by Nature & More and will run until 2015, the International Year of Soils. Counting more than 50 prominent partners and Vandana Shiva as the newly installed campaign patron, initiator Volkert Engelsman comments: 'We're just getting started. Soil is not seen as a sexy subject, but this guerrilla farming video will change that!'

The North American edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit will be hosted in San Francisco, Hotel Nikko on 22-23rd January 2014.The Sustainable Foods Summit is a series of international summits that focuses on the leading issues the food industry faces concerning sustainability and eco-labels. Each edition brings together key stake-holders in the food industry that include food manufacturers, ingredients suppliers,retailers & distributors,certification agencies.

The National Association “Serbia Organica” (NASO) currently gathers about 80% of the sector players, who are also present in other related associations and organisations,

Russia’s organics market is in the early development stage but it is quickly expanding. In 2012, organic sales accounted for about $148 million which is 7.8 percent growth compared to 2011. Nevertheless, organic packaged food remained one of the smallest categories within health-positioned food in Russia, accounting for about a 0.2 percent share of total packaged food retail sales in the Russian market in 2012.
