How's My Writing?
This is part of the free editing set from First Grade Wow. For kindergarten, I use it to show what they can do (smiley face in the check box) and what their newest personal challenge is (I highlight the check box). They keep it in their writing folders. It helps differentiate learning and gives each student focus. There are many other useful pages in the packet, too. All free!

Here are more decoration ideas for the "Camp Read S'more" theme, this time from the website The Library Patch. While these particular photos come from an elementary school library, they could still work for middle school students, particularly the image of the different genres on signs if your library is arranged by genre (or if you are reiterating genres to your sixth grade students.)
