Nanoviv 'Venezuela' #2 | by Mikaels orchids A local Pleurothallid grower did something similiar with a large porous lava rock. She set the rock in a large tray of water and planted miniature lepanthes, etc. in the nooks and crannies. The rock naturally pulls up water from the tray and maintains a perfect little microclimate for the cloud forest babies.
