Emotional flashbacks are probably the most challenging aspect of dealing with C-PTSD, as you get 'taken back' to those times when you were completely overwhelmed, helpless, scared and hurting - and even very minor things can trigger these emotional flashbacks off. But they can be overcome, with time, self-compassion and practise.
