Fill glass with water. pits broad end is down. stick three toothpicks in so that bottom inch is in water. in direct sunlight, wait six weeks for roots and stem. Change water every two weeks. Cut stem to 3" when it grows 7" Plant when roots are thick and stem has leaves Blend potting soil, peat moss, perlite and coarse builder's sand. Fill 10- to 12-inch diameter container. Plant half of pit above surface. water to keep moist. Cut stem to 6" when it reaches 12". When stem grows back plant.
