Salvador Dalí's manic expression and famous moustache have made him something of a cultural icon for the bizarre and surreal.

Woman with a Head of Roses' is clearly influenced by mannered, elegant fashion illustration and design. It is making some comments on femininity, on woman as symbolized by flowers, roses being a not uncommon symbol for the female sex organs. The lion appears in other Dali works and may also involve sexuality -- sexual voraciousness.
