2D - 4D Volume Lashes
How good do these 4 week retention lashes look?! 😱 How did she do it?! Well there are multiple things. 1️⃣ Make sure your adhesive is always fresh. 2️⃣ Ensure your clients lashes are as clean as possible prior to application. 3️⃣ Advise clients to cleanse their lashes daily with the correct lash cleanser. 4️⃣ Always ensure your adhesive is stored correctly. 5️⃣ Ensure you’re always using the correct adhesive for the room temperature and humidity.
I believe planning a lash map ahead of time will give you a better understanding of what your client wants. Sometimes your clients will want to change it up a bit every time they come in for their refills and that’s ok! It’s like going to the hair dresser, sometimes you want to change it up and there’s nothing wrong with that! FB: The Goddess In You
As your natural eyelashes fall out due to the lash growth cycle, you will need fills when new eyelashes grow in. At first you may find you need a refill every 2 weeks. As you become accustomed to the eyelash extensions and with a little practice maintaining them, the time between refills could extend to 3-4 weeks. (6-9DV)
When clients ask, how do I know when it's at 40%? The way I see it, if its starting to look half full compared to the first day you got them, then I would start booking your refill appointment. Once you figure out how long the lash extensions are lasting for you, make sure to start booking ahead for your refill appointments.
Here is a visual of how a russian volume application looks like. The lash extensions used to create volume lashes are significantly thinner (.10 or less) than the lash extensions used for the classic lash applications. If two eyelash extensions are applied to one natural lash it’s described as 2D, if three eyelash extensions are applied to one natural eyelash then it’s described as 3D and so on. 🤓
