Hey everyone, here, welcome back to #LightroomLessons. Many of us are physically isolated right now, and in these times it becomes even more important to share and connect virtually. In that spirit, swipe through today’s mini-tutorial to learn how to easily share out an album of photos from Lightroom! • Here in California we’re under a “shelter in place” order, and it’s crucially important to respect that so as to slow the spread of the coronavirus and save lives. I’m very lucky that I..
Photo by || Visiting Munich, I heard about these stairs in an unimposing, and somewhat unexpected, location in the city and went to check it out. My fascination with it is perhaps due to the dichotomy of what it is and what it represents. • On the one hand, it’s a beautiful piece of art. Its twists and turns make it just gorgeous to look at. On the other hand, it’s functionally pointless in terms of what it’s technically supposed to do. Its stairs take you right back to where you sta..
Selfie sticks, museums of ice cream, iPhoneography, oh my! The 2010s pioneered some of the most iconic trends that will forever mold the industry that we love so nearly and dearly. • Before we welcome 2020, let’s take a moment to give a proper farewell to the decade that brought us more artistic exploration than we could have imagined. Check out our link in bio for a comprehensive decade in review! • Which photography trend was your favorite of the decade?
Hi everyone, it’s bringing you this month’s #Ps_Swipe tutorial! Swipe through to see how I created this image.⠀ •⠀ First, I created a layer mask on my background image, then I used the Rectangular Marquee tool and Paint Bucket tool to color the area black (a non-destructive erasing method). •⠀ I then added the next layer and double-clicked to change the blending options. If you hold the Option key on Mac or the Alt key on Windows as you press the black and white sliders on this laye..
Hello everyone, it's Marischa from here! I'm a digital artist from South Africa, and I'm honored and super excited to take over the Photoshop Instagram page this week! • I started creating in two years ago, and it was the best thing I ever did! The ability to create whatever I can imagine inspires me more than anything else. I love to play with a variety of editing styles and simple, surreal compositions. There’s nothing more fascinating to me than space, so I really love to include ..
Hi everyone! It's here. I'm a digital artist, photographer, designer and Instagram strategist from Los Angeles, CA. I'm so honored and excited to take over the Photoshop Instagram page this week! • I first started using Photoshop all the way back in my 7th grade Graphics class. Our assignment was to pick a word to design and make the text’s style reflect the meaning of the word. Mine was “cold,” so I made the letters all look like ice. I realized I could essentially create anything m..
Hey, here again! Sometimes in my edits, I think less is more. You don’t need a lot of action in your images for them to be great. • I find myself drawn to central perspectives and creating moods. The way you create lighting and colors in your images is one of the biggest things that sets the mood for your edit. • Tap to edit with me in today’s Instagram Stories to see how I created this image!
Hey everyone! here with the last day of my takeover. This image was rendered using #AdobeDimension and uses 3D models and images that can all be found on There are a lot of different things to play with, and there are more added every day. I really think using Stock can help you push your work further much faster. I hope my takeover this week has inspired you to check out Dimension and get into 3D work. Don’t hold yourself back! 🙂 • You already think in 3D. Now design in it. Share you..
Hi there, it's I created this image last year when I had a thought to integrate wildlife into my surreal edits. I discovered the surprising fact that during a deer's life the antlers fall off and grow again. This is symbolic of regeneration. I’m always impressed by the fact that we are continuously regenerating new hope as we move into a new day. I am constantly striving to be the best that I can be and to create unique images that somehow tell stories. 💕 • Check out today's Instagram..
#CapturePlay photos by || In our hectic, modern lives, many of us focus so heavily on work and family commitments that we never seem to have time for pure fun. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, we stopped playing. But I truly believe that by retaining our ability and right to play, we get to enjoy a more fulfilling life. ⠀ What does play look like in your culture? Share with the #CapturePlay hashtag for a chance to be featured. CapturePlay
#CapturePlay photos by || To me, “play” can be read in two ways: the first way is to capture a moment of joy in everyday life, and the second is to play with the composition, photography-wise, like playing with light and shadow, shifting perspectives or using reflections.⠀ •⠀ What does play mean to you? Edit a photo of play on Lightroom mobile and share it with the #CapturePlay hashtag for a chance to be featured! CapturePlay
Photos by || Hey there, it's your friendly neighborhood portrait photographer. I am doing a little takeover of the feed to share some of my recent work with about the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. They invited me, and the badass to go to the refuge and see its vastness firsthand.⠀ •⠀ Let me tell you, it was one hell of an introduction: from this being my first time this far from home, to camping in one of the most remote places in the United States, to listening to the Hula-Hula..

Photos by || “Girl, boy, it doesn’t matter. If you put your mind to something, anything is possible,” says Precious. Part of Giving program, Precious is being sponsored through guiding school. She’s the direct result and beneficiary of eco-tourism, a burgeoning industry led by innovators such as who also have the world’s first safari camp (Dunia, in the Serengeti) entirely run by women. Part of the next generation, Precious says, “I’ll guide one day with Asilia, then give straight back..
Photo by for #AdobeRisingStars|| A girl slides into a newly formed creek that flows by her home. In June 2017, there was an early heat wave that brought record temperatures to much of the Southwest. This caused the snowpack in the Sierra Mountains to melt at an accelerated speed, creating flooding. California’s water system depends on the gradual melting of snowpack from spring to the end of summer. • After a five year drought, it was amazing to witness the snowpack melting during the ..
Hey everyone, here, welcome back to #LightroomLessons. Hey everyone, here, welcome back to #LightroomLessons. In today’s lesson I’m going to show you how to shoot and edit HDR photos in Lightroom mobile. HDR stands for “High Dynamic Range”. If a scene has very bright areas and very dark areas (for example, shooting something silhouetted against the sun), it’s said to have high dynamic range. Pictures of high dynamic range scenes often don’t turn out very well, but shooting in HDR mode in Lightroom mobile solves this problem. Swipe through ..
